IL QUINTETTO DI ROMA

    "Quintetto di Roma", woodwind ensemble, is formed by leading parts from the "Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI" and the "Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma della RAI". Each member also performs an intensive individual solo activity, being at the same time dedicatees of many works by contemporary composers.
      The quintet proposes a wide repertoire sweeping from 18th century to our days, encompassing works from the woodwind trio to larger formations including piano and/or strings. "Quintetto" members have been teaching in conservatoires and regularly held several perfecting courses. They also take part to other Chamber groups, such as "Gruppo Strumentale Musica di Oggi", "Roma Sinfonietta", "Orchestra di Roma" and "I Filarmonici di Roma".

      Invited by many associations, "Quintetto di Roma" has intensively performed concerts both in Italy and abroad , obtaining great public success and gaining unanimous critical acclaim.
     The ensemble is carrying out a deep work of research and study through this formation musical literature, in order to develop some recordings allowing the great public to listen to almost unknown pages of great musical and historical value.
